You can post whatever you want, but if no one comments, likes, or shares your content, you might as well be an old man screaming at a cloud. Without interaction from your followers, your content will fall into the Internet\u2019s abyss and no one will see it. The reactions don\u2019t have to be positive for content to survive. Often, the negative generates more feedback than inspirational stories. This is why your newsfeeds are constantly filled with people complaining about celebrities, politicians they hate, and whatever angered them at that moment. However, you also see stories about people miraculously surviving against all odds, succeeding in losing weight, and cute cats. A LOT of cute cats, this is the Internet after all.<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_2889266517771165107gmail-MsoNoSpacing\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_2889266517771165107gmail-MsoNoSpacing\">Obviously, Toastmasters is a supportive environment, so we\u2019re not posting things to generate controversy. We\u2019re using social media as modern day word-of-mouth marketing. Successful examples of this are Ellen Degeneres\u2019 Oscar selfie, which was a commercial for Samsung, and #nuggsforcarter, which generated positive buzz for Wendy\u2019s all because Carter wanted free chicken nuggets.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">If only Bradley&#39;s arm was longer.
