\u201cOur club is very interested in helping new and current members meet or exceed their goals. There is honest constructive feedback and plenty of opportunity to improve via trying on meeting roles such as Toastmaster, general evaluator, participating as an officer and more. It is a forum to practice communication skill sets learned via toastmaster guidelines. There’s always a great speech; and you learn how to listen in order to evaluate and be a speaker when it’s your turn to present. The environment is friendly, exciting and nurturing; very welcoming. You are encouraged to do go through communication exercises at a reasonable pace, but there is no pressure. You can develop skill sets to be a ‘competent communicator’ but go far beyond this to participate in leadership or advanced speaking levels. I would rate Toastmasters as one of the best settings to develop your communication skills, and one of the most enjoyable ones!\u201d- Freda Robinson \u201cI recommended Toastmasters to several of my coaching clients in the US and Europe and their feedback was very positive: I figured it was time for me to experience first hand what I was recommending to others. The club has a good energy level. The officers are enthusiastic and committed to the club’s success. Newcomers — and I’m a relative newcomer — are always made to feel welcome. We are working on how to make Toastmasters more relevant for members’ careers.
