Reasons to Attend the Fall Conference

Why did you join Toastmasters?

If you became part of Toastmasters to expand and enhance your career opportunities, the Fall Conference may be a first-class, high-return investment of your time.

At our Fall Conference, you will see and hear some of the very best speakers in our District, and indeed, some of the very best speakers in our world-wide Toastmasters family. You will be able to spend one-on-one time with them, to learn how they put together an award-winning talk and how they developed the skills that have brought them to the level of communication excellence.

Leadership skills will also be on display for you to observe and make your own. The executive skills that so many people have learned during their time with Toastmasters and now use every day will be yours to study and adopt for your own career. This year, you will be able to network with some of the best leaders in Toastmasters International. Perhaps someone will share a career-building idea that opens an opportunity for you that you never would have imagined would be yours.

Many of our day-to-day business and personal responsibilities are explored and studied through our Toastmasters programs. At the Fall Conference, you will see our District Executive Officers, our Area and Division Directors, our Club Presidents, Vice-Presidents of Education, Public Relations, and Membership, our Treasurers and our fellow members all using and sharing the many skills that we develop and use every day because of our participation in Toastmasters.

Attending our District Fall Conference isn’t an obligation, it is an opportunity. We come to Toastmasters to develop ourselves into better, more productive people, to enhance our performance and effectiveness in every aspect of our personal and professional lives.

Harry Truman once said, “Individuals make history, and not the other way around. In periods where there is no leadership, society stands still. Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better.” This is our opportunity to lead ourselves, and others, to seize an opportunity to change things for the better.” Let’s do it.

See you at the Conference.
