Proposal: Launching a Professional Speaking Specialty Toastmasters Club

Club Name: ProSpeaker Circle (working title)

Purpose

The goal of this specialty club is to support Toastmasters in developing professional speaking careers,

bridging the gap between club-level public speaking and paid, professional speaking engagements. The club will

provide targeted mentorship, practice, and networking for members aspiring to become Accredited Speakers or

professional keynote speakers.

Objectives

1. Skill Development:

  • o Advanced speechcraft for professional audiences
  • o Storytelling, presentation design, and audience engagement techniques
  • o Voice, pacing, and stage presence

2. Professional Growth:

  • o Guidance on building a speaking business
  • o Branding and marketing for professional speakers

  • o Connect members with Accredited Speakers and seasoned professionals
